Youth Weaving Classes

	Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum Youth Weavers give a demonstration for the Nantucket New School.

To introduce youth to the traditional construction of Nantucket Lightship Baskets, NLBM offers Nantucket Lightship Basket Weaving Classes to youth ages 11-16. Tuition funding is provided in part by the Nantucket Golf Club Foundation. Each weaver is given the individual attention required to experience creating a basket like the ones made on the South Shoal Lightship.
