The Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum is dedicated to preserving Nantucket's rich history of lightship basket making as an art form by educating the public concerning the craft, and providing a permanent home for an exhibit of lightship baskets, both historic and contemporary, and related items of historical significance.
The baskets at right are part of the permanent collection at the Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum.
