improve your skills? We are photographing our
collection for archival purposes. We also photograph
our events.

Weavers
Join our team of demonstration
weavers as they introduce our visitors to the
craft that has become a Nantucket icon! Not
only do our demonstrators show the weaving
of baskets, they help create items to be auctioned
to benefit the Museum's programs and exhibits.
Successful weaving demonstration candidates
will have prior weaving experience, and will
discuss weaving background and availability
with our staff. 3
shifts available per day, or on a substitute
basis.
Mailing and Distribution
Here is an opportunity to get involved in the ‘behind the scenes’ activity as you help with periodic mailings, envelope stuffing and mailing and/or distributing brochures to inns, hotels, basket makers and other local establishments.
Gardeners
Surround yourself with plantings that were available to Nantucketers during the 1820’s when our Museum house was first built. Work with antique varieties of roses and herbs, research old varieties of plants with our master gardener. And don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!
